Annual premium for the BC Student Health Insurance Plan (Wellfleet) is approximately $3,400–$4,000 USD for the 2025 academic year. This is billed directly to your student account unless you successfully waive.
Waiver deadline
Submit your waiver request before the deadline above. Universities rarely accept late waivers — if you miss it, you are auto-enrolled in SHIP and billed the full premium.

Your alternative plan must meet all of the following criteria to pass the Boston College waiver review:
- Massachusetts QSHIP-compliant coverage
- Annual benefit of at least $500,000
- Greater Boston network access
- Mental health parity and prescription coverage
- Valid for the full term
