Cost if you take SHIP
The 2026-27 premium for the DVC International Student Health Insurance (BCBS plan administered via International Student Insurance 'DVC Student Zone') is $1,944.36 a year (student only). It is billed to your student account unless your waiver is approved.
Fall 2026 $810.15 (Aug 1-Dec 31, 2026) + Spring 2027 $1,134.21 (Jan 1-Jul 31, 2027) = $1,944.36; the fees page rounds this to $1,945 for 2026-27. Summer 2026/2027 ($314.68/$324.06) and bridge terms are only for students starting off-cycle.
Waiver deadline
Submit your waiver request before the deadline above. Universities rarely accept late waivers — if you miss it, you are auto-enrolled in SHIP and billed the full premium.
