Cost if you take SHIP
The 2026-27 premium for the Johns Hopkins University Student Health Insurance Plan (Wellfleet; administered by Academic HealthPlans) is $3,624 a year (student only). It is billed to your student account unless your waiver is approved.
Annual student rate for 8/15/2026-8/14/2027 (Fall $1,359 + Spring $2,265). An Early Fall option from 8/1/2026 costs $1,510 for the fall part. The School of Medicine cost sheet shows the same rate.
Waiver deadline
Submit your waiver request before the deadline above. Universities rarely accept late waivers — if you miss it, you are auto-enrolled in SHIP and billed the full premium.
